Parents & Parents
That morning, my parents went to Ija’s parents to discuss for the date of our engagement day. The discussion went well. By now, I already talked a few times with Ija, getting to know each other better. She somehow made me……hmmm..I think, the feeling was indescribable, let it just stay within me.
Later that evening, I caught the movie Hide and Seek starring Robert de Niro and Dakota Fanning. It was surprisingly good with some really eerie moments, especially since it involved a kid with her rather dangerous imaginary friend. It was a psychological thriller, threw in with a good amount of good acting and great sound effect. Okay, some critics may think Dakota is quite stereotyped. But I think that girl knows what she is doing and enjoying it. For a kid like that to be so consistent in all her movies/tv series, she manages to build her reputation right from her early start. I mean, 90% of kids actors out there, they just be themselves when they act, I mean they are still kids. But Dakota is one of those kids who takes acting seriously. She totally immerses herself to be the characters she plays in.

Constantine and Racing Stripes
14 to 18 February 2005 - Caught 2 movies: Constantine and Racing Stripes. For the latter, I watched it solely because one staff at the office was claiming her ‘right’ to be treated after bonus month last month. Racing Stripes was a feel good family movie but nothing great. Even the talking animals/insects failed to impress. Remember Babe, Stuart Little or Cats & Dogs anyone? Overall, I should say the movie was forgettable. As for Constantine, the movie was heavy with special effects and rather philosophical (referring a lot to the Christian religion). There were some good moments like the time when the ‘bats’ attacked the two main characters on the street and the visuals of Hell. Keanu Reeves’ stereotyped acting had become more stereotyped as he looked more like Neo from the Matrix. As for Rachel Weisz, nothing could go wrong with her. She was just great….

One First Date
It was a fine Sunday morning. We had set our first date to be at KFC in Muar. Actually I met her for the first time last Hari Raya (a Muslim festival last December but that didn’t count because there were a whole lot of other people there). She said she would feel more comfortable if she could bring her brother along and I agreed. It was a fine date and I got along with her (and her brother). I also gave her a present for her belated birthday.Labels: Anniversary
