I Love U Baby...

Bismillaahirrahmaanirrahiim....

Surah Luqman (verse 33)

O mankind! do your duty to your Lord, and fear (the coming of) a Day when no father can avail aught for his son, nor a son avail aught for his father. Verily, the promise of Allah is true: let not then this present life deceive you, nor let the chief Deceiver deceive you about Allah.

Surah Al-Ghafir (verse 67)

It is He Who has created you from dust then from a sperm-drop, then from a leech-like clot; then does he get you out (into the light) as a child: then lets you (grow and) reach your age of full strength; then lets you become old,- though of you there are some who die before;- and lets you reach a Term appointed; in order that ye may learn wisdom.

Yesterday, 27 September 2006, my wife was exactly 12 weeks pregnant. Here's the fetal development according to
http://www.babycentre.co.uk:

Your baby's face is beginning to look more human, even though s/he is only about 2 inches/5.5cms long from her crown to her rump and weighs slightly less than half an ounce/ 14 grams. The eyes, which started out on the sides of the head, have moved closer together. The ears are almost in their normal position on the side of the head. The liver is making bile and the kidneys are secreting urine in the bladder.

The fetus squirms if your abdomen is prodded, although you cannot yet feel movement. Fetal nerve cells have been multiplying rapidly and synapses (neurological connections in your brain) are forming. The fetus has acquired more reflexes: touching the palms makes the fingers close, touching the soles of the feet makes the toes curl down and touching the eyelids makes the eye muscles clench.

P/S: By the way, the drawing above is me and wife during our wedding day. Some say (including my wife) that the bride does look like her. However, the rendition of me is somewhat less accurate. Less handsome than the real me perhaps? Hahaha.....

Are u gonna make some video-shooting on the fetal development/ wife's pregnancy progress too? Any morning sickness yet so far? how about any odd behaviour, odd desires (mengidam) and so on? Put that in your diary too.

Surah AlMukminoon (23:12-16) explains verse by verse of human creation as well.

Video-shooting on the fetal development? Not likely, quite private laa and I'm sure my wife won't allow it :) Hmmm... so far so good; no morning sickness, no odd behaviour or desires except occasional "wind in" (masuk angin hehe..) on some evenings. But I do have occasional headaches which I seldom had before and mengidam on many foods, or maybe that's because "I memang dah kuat makan?"... hehe.

Thanx for letting me know about Surah AlMukminoon. Wassalam and have a productive fasting month this year!! (This message goes to other Muslim readers too).

Dear abdun..

Sounds like u r more excited than ur wifey! hehe. Bagus laa, atleast u have the initiative to know all these things. Don't leave them to ur wife only to feel all the burdens! Rajin2 la urut her feet yg for sure akan look like elephanthiasis as time goes by! harhar a little bit of exaggeration there. Happy fasting 2 u!

Hi Shiha, yeah probably I am more excited, or maybe as excited as she is. Anyway, my wife was eager and thrilled when the doctor confirmed 'there's another human being inside her' (as she put it). She was (or is) really looking forward to it, especially after reading the 'pahala' (rewards) that a Muslim woman gets once she gets pregnant (which I'm sure you are already aware of). In fact, I plan to share them (the rewards) here one day. Insha' Allah...

The rewards? oh they should! it can be very demotivating at times, especially when u r overstressed with tremendous workloads.

When I was a houseman (and pregnant), everyday I'd go back at about 8-9pm. Bukannya apa, semuanya jadi slow sbb dah tak larat bwk perut! But work is still work, no body can do it for me except myself, so I had to struggle to finish everything before going home. Every night in the car, when my hubby dtg ambik, I'd cry on my hubby's shoulder. Penat sangat!

The only reward yg I can remember now, is something along this line: "Jika seorang ibu itu menyusukan bayinya sendiri, setiap titik susu itu akan diberi ganjaran pahala" or something like that la. Mebbe u can look out for it, I mean, the full version of it?

This is what I found from a book. May be we can share it together but I will write it in it's original Malay version..
Getting pregnant and being a mother is a big bless from God for every woman in this world..
